MAREA's photographic archive was structured along a journey through the approximately 9,000km of Chile's coastal territory. Subsequently, work has been carried out on the creation of different devices to exhibit the archive and generate different narratives, such as exhibitions and photobooks.

MAREA is based on a photographic archive assembled during a five-month journey along Chile's entire coastline, from the Peruvian border to Cape Horn and Tierra del Fuego. Since then, we've been working on developing various ways to exhibit this archive and tell different stories depending on the context. So far, we've produced two exhibitions, one at the Museum of Contemporary Art and another at the Maritime National Museum, located in Santiago and Valparaíso, respectively. Currently, we're in the process of creating a printed photobook.

Below is a timeline of key events since the project began in 2020.
